ooc: info post, 2021 revival edition!
Just a quick and dirty (not that dirty) info post, since my girl here is technically returning!
Irene here hails from BBC's Sherlock, which has a terrible fandom and you should all probably never watch it. Except maybe for the series 2 opener, 'A Scandal in Belgravia,' because that's Irene's episode.
In classic literary Holmes tradition, Irene Adler is the only woman who ever outsmarted him, and she's usually portrayed as a love interest in derivations. Sherlock updates a few things on that front.
Irene Adler is a very high-end, very polished, very fashionable dominatrix. She works amongst the elite (it's totally canon that she's been with Kate Middleton), she's expensive and it shows, and she's also very very good at gathering secrets.
Irene gets herself into hot water in her episode with the Baker Street guys, has to fake her death twice, and then back in 2014 she found herself hiding out here in Fandom. She left againbecause my RL imploded to see if she could straighten things out back home so she didn't have to be so much on the run, and is now returning to Fandom. (She will probably notice, like, right away that it's not 2015 anymore.)
Quick facts about Irene:
she is in her early 30s, 5'3", with bright blue eyes and long dark hair that will almost always be pinned up and fairly perfectly kept unless I indicate otherwise in the narrative
similarly, she is very fashionable and put together -- generally wears designer dresses and shoes, and very expensive but minimalist jewelry. She's also always made up, down to wearing a perpetual red lip, and has her nails done.
speaks in a crisp British accent.
seriously, she's a dominatrix. It's not something she'll openly advertise, but hit me up if that's something you'd want to play with.
she also identifies as a lesbian, though she clearly has a weird attraction to Sherlock Holmes. I tend to treat that as a one-off thing and say she's almost exclusively attracted to women.
the shop!
Irene is taking over Dite's Decadent Delights (and will be living over it, as well!), which will be getting consistently posted on Wednesays. Shifts are totally available (everything but Wednesdays and Thursdays!), so hit me up if you'd like a job!
Irene is also very kind, discreet, and helpful when it comes to shopping, and questions, and so on, so please feel free to throw your characters at her with all your awkwardness. (Or let me know OOC if there's specific awkwardness you'd like to arrange!)

Hey hey, it's Erin again (also Annie, Faye, and the soon-to-be-departing Lydia.) I'm available over email for anything you need at defenderofdesmoines-at-gmail-dot-com and I'm in the Discord pretty often! My availability over the summer is kind of all over the place, but give me a month and I'll be in schools with a consistent daytime schedule of early AM Eastern until about 8 PM most days.
(Though, that being said, working in schools means that Irene threads might result in an email from me to you going, "Hey I'm gonna have to answer that at home when I'm not on school wifi and I can link to a picture of a dildo," or whatever.)
